Laveen is a Phoenix village with a genuine past: dairy farms, cotton fields, and equestrian properties shaped this southwestern corner of the city for a century. Today it is one of the fastest-growing areas in the metro, with new subdivisions filling in south of the Salt River, a major town center under way, and homes that still deliver more land for the money than most Valley addresses. Horse property and large-lot buyers mix with families buying new builds at value prices.
The commute: Laveen connects to central Phoenix via Baseline, Dobbins, and the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway, roughly 20 to 30 minutes to downtown.
